Jida Chronicle Chaos frontier – Review
One of the worst games I have seen
Feels like a learn to make a game result
This will be a short review, Jida Chronicle Chaos frontier really does not warrant a long review. I was sent a copy to my Steam Curator; it had some good player reviews, and I decided to give it a try. My first try of it lasted only a few minutes, it is basic beyond belief. All my reviews are fair and honest, I do this so that you readers can make informed decisions and I could not review the game based on such a short playtime. Today I forced myself to play more “perhaps it gets better” I naively thought. Sadly Jida Chronicle Chaos frontier does not. The core game play has you stood in one spot while waves of goblins come at you. To defend yourself, you have two weapons, a slow to reload gun and a sword. There is no epic sword play here though, waggle your blade at the goblin while it does a stock “ouch” animation then dies. No deflecting the goblins weapon, slicing off limbs etc just standard basic hit hit dead. Occasionally goblins run behind barrels and throw spears at you, shoot them while bashing the spears away. Once you have killed that wave you are slid to the next point and they come from more angles. When you have been hit enough you die, shown some stats and then taken to the start again.
Jida Chronicle Chaos frontier feels like the game you make to learn vr development, The assets used are all very cool but the gameplay and effects have that VR tutorial feel. This is not a game that should have been released for sale. To give it some credit, the game is very cheap and if this was still the early days of VR I would not be so harsh on the game. There is no life, no atmosphere and little gameplay here. If it was not for the nicely made assets, Jida Chronicle Chaos frontier would be the very definition of shovelware.
